Big Lake Wilderness Lodge Policies
Quiet, well-behaved pets are welcome for an additional $19/night fee or $95/week.. For everybody’s safety, pets must be leashed or under voice command and control at all times when outside. Noisy, disruptive pets or those exhibiting anti-social behavior are not acceptable and will not be permitted to stay. A professional kennel is available in Ely. Pets MUST be up to date on vaccines.
Pets are NOT ALLOWED on furniture or bedding. You are responsible for picking up dog waste and disposing of properly.
You will be responsible for any damages incurred by your pet, i.e., screen door, scratched molding/furniture/flooring, soiled carpeting/stained floors, hair/mud on furniture or bedding, etc.
A credit card will be required on file upon arrival.
Deposits: A deposit of 50% of the cabin rate is required to secure your reservation. Deposits are due within 14 days of your reservation request. Multi cabin reservations will require a 50% deposit on the higher cabin rate and a 25% deposit on each of the remaining cabins reserved. All major cards are accepted. Personal checks are accepted up to 30 days in advance of your arrival. All payments made by credit card will be charged a 3.95% credit card processing fee directly to the consumer.
Payments: Payment in full for reserved cabin and equipment is due at check-in. All major credit cards, traveler’s checks, cashier’s checks and cash are accepted. Cabins and equipment will be charged for the entire time reserved. Sorry, no refunds for early departure, non-use, or inclement weather.
Cancellations: If your cancellation notice is received less than 60 days in advance of arrival, refunds minus a $150 cancellation will be made ONLY IF the cabin is rented to another party for the entire time of the original reservation. If your cancellation notice is received more than 60 days in advance of arrival, your deposit can be transferred to another reservation date within same rental season or refunded minus a $150 cancellation fee.
Check in time is 4pm. Absolutely NO EARLY BIRDS. (Not even on the premises waiting for your cabin.) No exceptions. Please understand and respect that we need this time to ready the cabins, the resort property, boats/pontoons. We have a short time in which to accomplish this (without interruption). So, Please do not ask for an early arrival. In the event we are able to accommodate you at an earlier time, we will contact you prior to arrival.
Check out time is 9am. Should you need a later check out time, please let Management know and we will do our best to accommodate your time.
We ask that all ‘in-house’ charges be taken care of Friday by 8pm, the night before your departure.
